Larry “Joe” Boyce, 64, Claytonville, IL

Larry “Joe” Boyce, 64, of Claytonville passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Joe was born April 9, 1949 in Watseka, the son of William “Bill” and Carolyn Phillippo Boyce and they preceded him in death.

He is survived by one daughter, Angie (Ralph) Faber of Princeton; one brother, James “Jim” (Darlene) Boyce of Pueblo, CO; one sister, Marcia Gudeman of Citrus Valley, CA; and several local aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Boyce served in the Army from 1970-1972 during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the Cissna Park American Legion Post #527.  He was a truck driver for 45 years and liked working with cars and trucks.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park.  Sid Kaufmann will officiate.  Burial will be in Amity Cemetery in Goodwine with military graveside rites by the Cissna Park American Legion Post #527.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
